Most 3D designers learned to render spaces.
I learned to build them first.

I trained as a civil and architectural engineer at Politecnico di Milano and spent years delivering real construction projects across Italy and the UK before moving into 3D design and visualisation. That background means every visual is informed by how the space needs to work, not just how it should look.

When I model a space, I read the drawings with a technical eye and resolve issues before they become expensive later. I also think about what the client, creative team or end audience actually needs to understand — so the visuals are built around purpose, not aesthetics alone.

“The image is only as strong as the space behind it.”

After three years as a 3D artist at Universal Design Studio and Map Project Office in London, working across high-end interiors, retail, product and experiential projects, I now work independently as Fogliani Studio, collaborating with architects, brands and experiential agencies. My work spans spatial design, photorealistic CGI, animation and immersive experiences.

I work independently. Every project is led directly by me — no account managers, no junior handoffs. You brief me, I deliver.

Writing about
the built world.

Beyond client work, I write about sustainable construction and alternative ways of living. Both books are independently published and available on Amazon.

Writing gives me another way to explore how materials, systems and spatial decisions shape the way we live — the same curiosity that informs my design work.
